About the competition

Road to RIAT is a fun, four-part programme with aviation and sustainability at its heart.

It kicks off with a half day STEM day where you can build a glider or fire a rocket.  Then we’re into the Competition…

The challenge is to design a sustainable plane, so we're looking for creative young people who love design and can work in teams. By competing, students learn about aerospace, sustainability and literally see their creativity take flight.

Students then meet with STEM superstars across a range of careers and industries, including the RAF, to find out more about their work and careers.

National Winners receive two Lego® Spike Primes for their school worth £670
